I love desserts but I try not to eat anything after dinner. Until I got pregnant… My Sweet Tooth took over again so after dinner I always had to take a small dessert. In the beginning I ate lots of those small mochi ice creams, a small scoop of ice cream in a mochi sheet. So delicious! And just enough to satisfy my sweet cravings!
Oh guys, I’m so jet lagged right now. The day before yesterday I couldn’t stop yawning while shopping at Trader Joe’s, it was so embarrassing! I was really hoping the cashier would ask me about my day so I could tell her I just came back from Amsterdam and had a massive jet lag but unfortunately all she said was: ‘thank you for waiting’.
I try to eat fish twice a week so last week I was looking for some new recipes for salmon. I couldn’t decide which one to chose and suddenly I remembered I hadn’t made my own recipe for Ginger crusted salmon in a while.
So I stopped looking for new recipes and went to the store to buy some fresh ginger and made this delicious salmon recipe. This one is so good and I wonder why I don’t make it more often 😉
Ugh, I hate it that summer is officially over 🙁
One of the reasons is that I have to miss all this delicious summer fruit like strawberries (they’re my favorite!), nectarines and raspberries.
The weather in LA is still great, it still feels like summer to me. But the nights are cooler and the wind gets colder sometimes. Also the light is getting more blue, another sign of the change of the season. But that’s photographer-Ellen speaking.

Sometimes you know you need to step down for a moment.
Just take a step back and rest or change something in your way of living. After all these hectic months of saying goodbye to our live in Amsterdam en figuring out how living in Los Angeles works I finally feel we have settled in.
Life is never boring at the West Coast, unless you lock yourself up every night at your house 😉
But since my life finally has become more relaxed I have time to think about my way of eating again.
